Camp Ruta 2006

God blessed us with a truly awesome “little kids” session of Lithuanian Christian Camp. I posted a little about this earlier and am just now getting some pics- which I am sharing with you.

We had 85 children this year from ages 7-14 and it is really difficult to completely convey the spirit of eagerness they have toward learning the Bible in a camp setting. The theme was “Open My Heart”.

I have always viewed this camp as a seed planting ministry. The kids we have at Ruta come from non-Christian backgrounds unlike most of our Christian camps here in the states. We are trusting in God to take our efforts there and help them grow and eventually germinate. We are seeing some results in that seven members of our staff were Lithuanian college students who were former campers- some of whom first encountered God in a real sense at this camp.

Keep this ministry in your prayers and enjoy the pics!

Ilia leading a huddle session.

A skit led by Jouzas.

And finally a group pic of the staff.

Beautiful pictures of a God-ordained work. I pray that over the years God’s kingdom is taking root in the hearts of young people, and blossoming into saving faith. Love you Danny, and everyone who went … awesome. Bravo!

We visited Vilnius in the summer of ’99. What a great group of people to have as brothers and sisters in Christ. Ilia looks familiar but it has been along time. Great Kingdom work! Keep it up.
