So What if you are an Ole Miss Fan?

Okay I have had quite enough! After bearing the brunt of my fanatically-devoted-to-all-things-Razorback wife’s frustration over the Hogs loss- And- After hearing the initial whining which will soon turn into roaring about the Wolverines missing out on the BCS championship, I must speak out!

Try being an Ole Miss fan. Sorry bout that Rose bowl bid- yea right. Arkansas, I am so sad that you have to take the millions offered by the Capitol One Bowl as opposed to the few more millions found in the BCS orbit.

Just try being an Ole Miss fan- with a Coach O who cannot speak english and knowing before the season even starts that not even the Poinsettia GMAC Motor City International Independent Who-Cares Buddy Bowl awaits. Yea, try that.

So to all the FSU, AU, UM, UA (both of them), USC, LSU fans- celebrate! Your team had a decent to great year and will, in fact, be bowling.

At least we won the Egg Bowl.

Hotty Toddy!

Oh, never mind.

LOL! Tommy the Bulldog got out!

I am not a State hater though, until the Saturday after Thanksgiving, of course. 🙂

I have never bother with this sort of thing, but here goes. It is so easy to be a fan of a winning program. All of you LSU, UT and KY (basketball) fans who jumped on the fan bandwagon when their teams were successful don’t have a clue to what it means to be a fan. I get so much joy from listening to a UT fan from last year cry in their beer because they had a losing season or a ARK fan, who just a few games ago was ready to serve their coach up on toast and boot him, now he walks on water. Or a KY fan who was ready to send one of their winningest coaches to his grave because he lost six games. You all laugh and take your jabs at Ole Miss and State but their fans are true fans. They have endured the problems faced with little money and too many D1 schools in the state. They have faced the racial remarks from coaches like yours during recruiting times, true or not. I would like to see how much of a fan some of my UT friends are if they went through four, five or six years of sub par seasons. It is so easy being a fan of a winning program. So all of you out there who are whinning because your team did not receive a high enough bowl bid, get over it. I have been an Ole Miss fan since I sold cokes at Vaught Hemingway 30 years ago. The thing about an Ole Miss or State fan is they will be a fan this year, win or loose and they will be a fan next year, the year after and so on…. Hotty Toddy!!

OK, I don’t feel so bad about my rant on the coaching situation of the Tide….

We all suffer to different degrees some more than others in certain years…..and somehow we can find the grace to get along in this world of football loyalties…I wonder/??

I had an egg bowl, but I dropped it and it broke. Are you saying that there’s another egg bowl?
